It was a morning just like today. Bright blue sky, crisp early autumn air, and sun shining as bright as ever. We all woke up that morning like any other September Tuesday morning- got the kids ready for school and yourself ready for work. Yet only a few hours into the school and work day on September 11, 2001, the United States and the world would be forever altered.
It’s one of those moments that you always remember where you were when you heard the news. Whether via live television, radio broadcast, or internet story, Americans everywhere watched and listened in real time as the worst terrorist attack in US history unfolded. The sight of the Twin Towers burning, as well as the massive crater in the Pentagon and in the field of Pennsylvania, will forever be remembered by any person who watched and witnessed the events that morning.
As we sit at our desks, in an office or in a classroom, we can never forget those that were lost that beautiful September morning. It’s almost eerie how similar today is to that day, eleven years ago. As we go through our daily routine today, let us remember all of those who were lost on that September morning.
