Super Bowl Party this Sunday? Hope You Have An Umbrella CT Insurance Policy!

I think it’s pretty safe to say that everyone in the greater Northeast region is excited for this year’s Super Bowl, which will take place this Sunday featuring  the New England Patriots vs. the New York Giants.  It’s the great rivalry between Boston and  New York…for all the marbles! Needless to say, this Super Bowl gives us the reason to throw  a great party to cheer on our favorite team.

What you, the party host,  should be aware of is the liability you undertake when having a party like the one you may be throwing this Sunday.   At the end of the game your guests head for home and  your buddy has had a little too much beer,  Sam Adams an agency favorite and he proceeds to  get into a car accident.  It is bad enough that he injures himself, but the car he ran into contains another couple.  In reality, the injured parties can turn around and sue you, the party host, for providing the alcohol.  This is where a CT Insurance umbrella policy would come in to play,  deferring the costs from lawyer fees, medical bills, repair bills.  The reality is that the Super Bowl Party that only cost you $100, could end up costing you your home, assets and future earnings.

Favorite Wing Recipe:

  • Favorite 12 whole chicken wings
  • 3 ounces unsalted butter
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Directions

Place a 6-quart saucepan with a steamer basket and 1-inch of water in the bottom, over high heat, cover and bring to a boil.

Using kitchen shears, or a knife, separate the wings at the joint. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

Roast on the middle rack of the oven for 20 minutes. Turn the wings over and cook another 20 minutes or until meat is cooked through and the skin is golden brown.

While the chicken is roasting, melt the butter in a small bowl along with the garlic. Pour this along with hot sauce and salt into a bowl large enough to hold all of the chicken and stir to combine.

Remove the wings from the oven and transfer to the bowl and toss with the sauce. Serve warm.
